How effective are you as a leader? Even if you do not hold 'positional' power, how good are you at motivating and managing yourself and the people around you to higher performance and greater purpose? Emotional Intelligence (EI) - our ability to manage ourselves and others around us - is the single greatest contributor to personal excellence and leadership.
EI Training and Coaching Program
IHHP’s Emotional Intelligence training and coaching program starts with a powerful two-day classroom session, where you will learn from the important people in your life (peers, direct reports, manager, key clients, family and friends) how well you are managing your emotions in your key relationships. As well, you will learn how to leverage emotions for greater purpose and performance in all aspects of your life.
In this two-day Personal Leadership training program, you will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the impact you are having on the people around you
- Understand the science of the human brain and how that influences behavior
- Learn emotionally intelligent techniques to keep it together during difficult times and in challenging relationships
- Learn skills to deal with the emotions of others when there is tension and conflict
- Practice EI techniques to coach others to higher performance
- Develop a plan to connect more deeply with your employees, peers and family.
Specific program components include,
EI360 Feedback: Using a state-of-the-art web-enabled tool, input from up to 15 individuals (manager, family, friends, staff, etc) is collected to assess a participant’s competencies of emotional intelligence. This confidential data provides an unbiased picture of performance and leadership, and is the basis of the participant’s personal action plan.
EI Tools and Techniques to apply: You will learn practical techniques that you can apply to difficult relationships and challenging situations – both at home and at work. As well, through interactive discussion and experiential exercises, you will have an opportunity to practice these techniques of Emotional Intelligence, and develop a plan to apply them in your business and personal life.
Playing Big: Interactive e-Learning program
The Playing Big e-Learning program is an interactive computer based training program that offers the opportunity for self-study—at your own pace—so that you can continue to develop the Emotional Intelligence skills and techniques learned in our training program and coaching sessions. Imagine being inspired by a coach to Olympic medalists and senior executives at Fortune 500 companies who is also a successful entrepreneur and leader! Video clips of Dr. JP Pawliw-Fry, as well as video and audio interactive exercises, provide opportunity to practice techniques you learned in the two-day EI for Personal Leadership program.
Emotional Intelligence Coaching
We all need a coach! Coaching makes the difference between reaching your potential and remaining stagnant. Included with this program is IHHP’s highly effective One-on-One Coaching program.
4 sessions included in the Registration Fee
Your coaching program consists of four one-on-one telephone coaching sessions where you will work with a seasoned EQ coach committed to helping you develop personal excellence in leadership and performance. Your coach will help you focus on the developmental goals you set based on your EI360 feedback from the classroom training program and help you stay focused on what matters most—your own personal leadership development! |

This one-day program will cover Self-Awareness and Emotional Management, the first two Emotional Intelligence competencies covered in our two-day program.
This session provides individuals with the following opportunities:
- Gain understanding of the key concepts of Emotional Intelligence
- Leverage 360 feedback to drive additional self-awareness of how they are perceived by others

| Emotional Intelligence: The Driver of High Performance Sales |

What makes a sales person successful? It’s not their IQ, education or even product knowledge. They need to have a certain amount of these, but what sets the high performers apart from the average is their Emotional Quotient (EQ) and Emotional Intelligence (EI). Consider this research:
- Optimistic sales people outsold pessimistic sales people by 37% at Met Life
- Pessimistic sales people are twice as likely to quit their job as optimistic Sales people
- A Gallup study showed the primary driver of customer loyalty is the engagement level of sales and customer service people

The Seligman Attributional Style Questionnaire (SASQ). This state-of-the-art web- enabled tool measures optimism and persistence under adversity. The ability to succeed is closely tied to the ability to handle adversity. Scientific research has proven the common sense wisdom that optimistic beliefs can be self-fulfilling prophecies. Hundreds of studies have revealed the benefits of optimism -- increased motivation, superior achievement in various settings (at work, in school and in sports), elevated mood and well-being, and better physical health. The good news is that individuals can learn to reduce the self-defeating negative thinking that affects many people at one time or another and learn to become more optimistic.
